FPL GW20 Hidden Gems – Players to Pick Up This Week
*Disclaimer: This article was written before the announcment of Frank Lampard’s sacking as Chelsea Manager*
Our Premier League teams and FPL Managers alike have survived the first COVID-19 Gameweeks, with the second half of the season to look forward to. Each week in the second half of the season, we will provide a short round up of the hidden gems that may be available in your FPL Draft league.
When looking at players we will look at recent form, events in the news, upcoming fixtures and will use our Global Dashboard to let you know what the Ownership % for these players are amongst all FPL Draft players, as well as the best performers in your league size.
Players to watch
Antonio Rudiger
Rudiger can now be regarded as one of the more senior players in the Chelsea squad, and has of late been picked to start ahead of the younger Kurt Zouma. We have seen this situation in previous seasons, where Zouma gets a run of games only to be inevitably dropped.
Rudiger has kept 1 clean sheet in his last 3 starts (only not starting against MCI, presumaby to protect his confidence), which we regard as par-for-the-course for a seriously off colour Chelsea side, and their upcoming fixtures look favourable where it is reasonable to hope for 3 clean sheets from the next 5.
Chelsea fixtures: WOL (H), BUR (H), TOT (A), SHU (A), NEW (H)

Tyrick Mitchell
In recent weeks, Mitchell has ousted Van Aanholt in the left back position following a poor run of results for CRY whilst Van Aanholt played. The youngster started the season brightly and has clocked up an impressive 2 clean sheets in his last 4 tough games against LEI, SHU, ARS and MCI.
CRY have also brought in a new target man striker in Jean-Phillipe Mateta which should bolster their squad up top and make them more resilient overall, and coupling this with the clubs favourable run of fixtures.

Ben Godfrey
Even with Digne back, Godfrey is a clear favourite of Ancelotti, who has played in all but two league games an dhaving played 9 on the bounce. After a raft of injuries Everton are now looking back to their best with Calvert–Lewin, Richarlison and Rodriguez all peforming well in the FA cup.
This bodes well for the Everton back line who will have less pressure to deal with, thanks to the quality upfront, and Everton have some competitive fixtures coming up. For those looking to invest in the Everton defence, Godfrey may be your best bet as you could hope 3 clean sheets from their next 5 games.
Everton fixtures: LEI (H), NEW (H), LEE (A), MUN (A), FUL (H)

Luka Milivojevic
The points-scoring-returns-getting midfielder of seasons’ past has flown under the radar this year. However it is worth noting that he has not started 9 games on the bounce, and that Crystal Palace have a very nice run of fixtures coming up.
Some would say that the combative and direct Milivojevic is due a return, as he is still their main threat from set pieces, and has previously notched 12 goals and 2 assists in a season. There aren’t too many stats to support picking up Milivojevic, or anything in the underlying stats, however we’re still including him as a punt.

Tanguy Ndombele
The marquee singing from last year has become a firm feature in this Spurs team, and has recently completed his first full 90 minutes. Ndombele and Kane are the players that can unlock doors for Spurs, and his confidence is high after a world-class lob against SHU.
Spurs play Liverpool next who may be shaken after their first home loss in the league in years, as well as an easier fixture against BHA after that. So Ndombele may be one to stream in for a couple of weeks.
Spurs fixtures: LIV (H), BHA (A), CHE (H), WBA (H), MCI (A)
