Wolves 1 – 1 Man United
Anthony Martial puts Man United ahead with a powerful strike before Ruben Neves levels with a sublime curler from 25 yards. Paul Pogba had a chance to give Man United the win from the penalty spot, but found his disappointing shot saved. See it for yourself below:
Sheffield United 1 – 0 Crystal Palace
John Lundstram was the match-winner as Sheffield United beat Crystal Palace 1-0 in their first home match since returning to the Premier League.
Chelsea 1 – 1 Leicester
Wilfred Ndidi’s powerful header gave Leicester City a 1-1 draw in Frank Lampard’s first Premier League home match as Chelsea head coach.
It was Chelsea who started strongly and Mason Mount dispossessed Ndidi to score his first PL goal on seven minutes. See how the game unfolded below:
Arsenal 2 – 1 Burnley
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s second-half goal made the difference as Arsenal beat Burnley 2-1 at Emirates Stadium. Alexandre Lacazette fired Arsenal into a 13th-minute lead when he turned in a crowded area and squeezed a shot in off Nick Pope.
Burnley twice came close through Chris Wood, who first dragged his shot wide and then had his header well saved by Bernd Leno. The visitors were level two minutes before the break when Ashley Barnes struck his third goal in two matches. Watch the higlights below:
Aston Villa 1 – 2 AFC Bournemouth
Harry Wilson scored the decisive goal to help AFC Bournemouth earn a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park. AFC Bournemouth went 1-0 ahead in just the second minute when Joshua King converted a penalty after Tom Heaton had tripped Callum Wilson.
They doubled their lead 10 minutes later. A mistake from Douglas Luiz gave the ball to Harry Wilson and the on-loan Liverpool midfielder fired in via a deflection off Tyrone Mings.
Douglas made amends for his error on 71 minutes with a superb strike into the top corner, but Villa could not find an equaliser. See the highlights below:
Brighton Hove & Albion 1 – 1 West Ham
Leandro Trossard’s goal on his Premier League debut earned Brighton & Hove Albion a 1-1 draw at home to West Ham United.
West Ham opened the scoring on 61 minutes, Chicharito latching on to Manuel Lanzini’s pass and beating Mat Ryan with a powerful low finish.
It took Brighton only four minutes to equalise. Trossard collected a loose ball to finish low to Fabianski’s right. See the highlights below:
Everton 1 – 0 Watford
Bernard’s first-half goal handed Everton a 1-0 victory over Watford at Goodison Park.
Everton scored the only goal on 10 minutes, with Lucas Digne’s long pass finding Bernard, who cut inside from the left to beat Ben Foster with a low deflected shot. See the highlights below:
Norwich 3 – 1 Newcastle
Teemu Pukki scored a hat-trick as Norwich City beat Newcastle United 3-1 at Carrow Road
The Finnish forward, who also struck in Norwich’s first match, opened the scoring with a sensational volley on 32 minutes.
He doubled the Canaries’ lead midway through the second half when he found the bottom-left corner with a low shot.
The Finn wrapped up Norwich’s first win of the season with 15 minutes remaining, stroking home a left-footed shot inside the area to give Todd Cantwell a second assist.
Newcastle pulled one back late on when Jonjo Shelvey cut inside to finish into the far corner for Newcastle’s first goal of the season, but the Magpies remain without a point after two matches. See the sublime hat-trick below:
Southampton 1 – 2 Liverpool
Liverpool survived a late scare as they edged a 2-1 win over Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium.
Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino scored in either half as the Reds secured their 11th successive Premier League victory to equal a club record set in 2014.
But it was not a comfortable finish for the visitors as Danny Ings scored late on and then passed up a golden chance to equalise. See the highlights below:
Man City 2 – 2 Spurs
Lucas Moura scored with his first touch to earn Tottenham Hotspur a 2-2 draw with Manchester City and end the champions’ 15-match winning streak in the Premier League.
City’s frustration was compounded in stoppage time when Gabriel Jesus’ late strike was overturned by a VAR review following a handball by Aymeric Laporte.
Spurs had twice battled back to deny City with Lucas scoring their second goal just 19 seconds after coming on as a substitute. See how the game of the week unfolded below:
